  • Best Family Holiday Ever
    08/12/2011 - 4:57pm
    08/12/2011

Last week my mum, Matt, my brother Tyler and I spent 9 nights in a Gumnut Villa.

It was fantastic, we went for my mums birthday so she could sit by the pool and read a book.

The ladies at the desk and in the play room were so nice to us, we hired trikes and played putt-putt golf.

This was our 3rd holiday at Darlington and I want to go back again.

  • No need to leave the park!

We have just returned yesterday from a 7 night stay in your wonderful park. My husband and 3 boys aged 8,9 and 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We camped on one of your fantastic ensuite sites which are huge!!! We had plenty of room for our tent and gazebo and still more that enough space to move around with out feeling like you were on your neighbours campsite. We hardly left the park with so much on offer we hardly saw our boys. The boys enjoyed everthing that was on offer including the Bmx track, pool, tennis, games room, jumping pillow kids activites and the beach. The 1 and 1/2 hr surfing lesson they recieved from Steve on the beach at the park was the highlight of their trip. It was great that we didnt even have to leave the park for it. He had them up straight away riding the waves and having an absoulute ball. Well done Darlington Beach on a fantastic park. We will be back next year.

  • An Amazing Weekend
    14/03/2011 - 5:47pm
    14/03/2011

We have just spent the most amazing weekend together as a family - thanks to Darlington Beach Park with it's amenities & wonderful staff. We stayed in the Gumnut Villa's & one family in a Plantation Villa & must say they were spotlessly clean & nothing left wanting.
Sixteen family members (two from Sydney, two from Port Macquarie, four from Yamba, six from Alstonville & two from Maclean) all met for a weekend of fun in the pool, at the beach, on the jumping pillow, playing lawn bowls & just enjoying being up close & personal with the wildlife.
We had six children with us who enjoyed the BMX track & the little carts they peddled around. The weather was wonderful (humid with some showers "mostly at night" but never stopped any activities)...the kiddiwinks enjoyed an early Easter Egg hunt joined in by lots of other children holidaying at the park - this was tons of fun!!!
It was great to catch up with all the family in such a fantastic place & as they say "If the kids are happy - so are the Mums & Dads"
Last but not least may I say there are many bruises on the "oldies" who found fun on the Waterslide....nice to see that there is still a little bit of child in a sixty year old???
Thanks Darlington Beach Park - It is a credit to all the staff who run such a happy place to be!!! Keep doing it -as you have got it right!!!

  • A Place We Will Be Calling Home Every Festive Season
    10/01/2011 - 2:49pm
    10/01/2011

WOW! Where do you start with such an amazing holiday. We have never been to a place where there is so much or so little to do, it is purely up to you. The kids are entertained, both young and old. The facilities and amenities are second to none. The staff are amazing and so willing to help. Your park is a credit to you and we look forward to returning every year during the festive season. Will certainly be recommending your park to others.

  • Difficult to find in Travel Guides

Darlington Beach resort is one of the best resorts of its type that we have stayed in. My suggestion to boost business is that it should be better cross referenced in the RACV, NRMA and other travel guides. That is, it should be listed or at least referenced under "Darlington Beach". To find it you have to somehow know that it is listed under Arrawarra (where's that??). Even to search for the resort on Navigation devices like Tom Tom or Navman's you have to know that it is near &/or between Woolgoolga and Grafton.
Now we know where it is we will be back but I'm sure the resort would get extra business with at least a reference under "D".
See you next year - Alan
