Our learning package offers:
Programs that are fully organised, comprehensive & fun to attend. They offer great value for money and all "lessons" are hands on in a comfortable, safe & environmentally conscious facility. "Field trips" throughout the park form the basis for the learning outcomes to be achieved. The content focuses on educational outcomes & has been developed for and adapted to suit the following key learning areas:
-
English
-
Mathematics
-
Human Society and its Environment
-
Science and Technology
-
Personal Development, Growth and Physical Education
-
Creative Arts
The course offers flexibility & where possible will be designed & tailored to suit the topics that the teacher requests. "Lessons" focus on the environment. Learning experiences are outdoor & nature based. In addition, the learning units embody a "cultural education" option which recognises appreciation to the traditional owners of this land.
Each of the 5 core units consits of 6-12 "lessons". Each lesson (activity), encompasses theoretical and practical components and lasts for 90 minutes.
Every student will be provided with all the required resources & study workbooks for each lesson/activity. The studies undertaken by the students are assessed in discussion with the accompanying teachers. These assessments may be used by the teacher to reach learning outcomes as required by the state curriculum/syllabus.
Education has a serious side but on our "campus" we offer a holiday park environment so our lessons are also based on having FUN.
The teachers that accompany their students will also be supplied with all relevant programming materials for utilisation on return to their own class rooms. Teachers simply need only attend our lessons - the "work" will be done for them whilst on the "Darlington Campus".
