Darlington Beach Holiday Park is celebrating the announcement that they have ranked Number 5 in family-friendly holiday parks in NSW. The Park was recognised in the annual 'Holidays with Kids' travel magazine awards, voted by the national magazine's readership of over 600,000 parents, 61,000 online members and customers of Club Med and TakeABreak.com.au.
Categories included activities for kids, staff hospitality, accommodation, location, safety and family fun.

Darlington Beach Holiday Park has been awarded 6th place in the annual Holidays with Kids "Top 10 Family-Friendly Holiday Parks" awards. Last year Darlington received 7th place, so to move up a place is an impressive improvement and honour for the park.
Michelle McAlister, Manager of Darlington Beach, stated "We are so very pleased with receiving this award. We are constantly striving to improve our facilities and accommodation for our guests, and appreciate everyone who voted for us."
The awards are decided by readers and online members of "Holidays with Kids" magazine, who voted for Darlington Beach based on a range of categories including activities and facilities for kids, standard of accommodation, fun for the entire family, and much more.

Darlington Beach Holiday Park recently received a commendation and finalist award in the Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) Awards of Excellence for Best Resort/Holiday Park 41/2-5 stars (more than 100 sites).
More than 250 guests gathered at The Sheraton On The Park in Sydney for the annual Awards of Excellence, which recognise caravan, RV and camping businesses for industry excellence across 24 categories.
The prestigious awards are one of the biggest nights for the caravan and camping industry and the awards are the highest accolade that a caravan, RV or camping business can achieve.
Certificate in Climate Action

Darlington Beach Holiday Park was recently awarded with a Certificate In Climate Action for a business by Climate Action Australia (CAA), which recognises businesses who actively seek to reduce carbon emissions, and in turn helping climate change.
Environmental Officer of Darlington Beach, Catherine James, said, "I am very proud to accept this certificate. Climate Change is one of the biggest issues facing Australia today, so to be recognised as a business that is consciously making an effort to help this issue means a lot."
Established by Ecotourism Australia, CAA provides the tourism industry with practical tools and strategies so the industry has a timely response to climate control. The Climate Action Certification Program (CACP) gives holiday makers the opportunity to choose to do business with operators who are wisely making an effort to take action when it comes to climate control.

Darlington Beach Holiday Park was recently awarded 7th place in the annual Holidays with Kids' Top 10 awards for "Family-Friendly Holiday Park for 2009."
In accepting this year's award, David Johnston, Director of FreeSpirit Holiday Parks, a national holiday park management company that manages Darlington Beach Holiday Park stated, "Winning this award is recognition of our commitment to ensuring the perfect family holiday."
The annual award is voted by readers and online members of "Holiday with Kids" magazine, who nominated Darlington Beach for outstanding holiday appeal and facilities for families. Readers were invited to rank their nominations on categories including activities and facilities for kids, staff hospitality, standard of accommodation, location, accessibility, safety, fun for the entire family, value for money and overall experience.

Darlington Beach Holiday Park was proud to accept the award as winner of NSW's Best Resort/Holiday Park 4.5 - 5 stars (more than 100 sites) at the recent Caravan and Camping Industry Association (CCIA) of NSW's annual Awards of Excellence.
Darlington Beach also won the overall Best of the Best NSW Holiday/Resort Park in NSW.
Congratulations also go to Darlington Beach's Trainee, Marie Wilson, who was awarded Trainee of the Year at the awards night.

Darlington Beach is dedicated to the conservation and sustainability of its pristine natural environment and has undertaken an initiative by the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW to implement environmentally sound business practices to minimise its impact on the environment.
Darlington Beach recently became the first Holiday Park in NSW to achieve the highest level of this initiative - the Gold Gumnut Award. The team at Darlington encourages guests to join with them in appreciating their natural environment through a variety of environmentally-based family activities and educational walks.
